Namaste is used in Indian Subcontinent, Japan and in a lot of other asian countries to greet or give respect to others!! It has come to be the forefront with the new Covid-19 Pandemic!

The origin of Namaste can be tied to the Indus Valley civilization where a lot of statues found had Namaste posture. These findings are dates between 3000 BCE to 2000 BCE. According to historians.. Skeletal evidence suggests many people died from malaria, which is most often spread by mosquitoes. This also would have caused a breakdown in the economy and civic order within the urban areas. So may be they knew that Namaste was the best way to keep yourself protected!!

Wearing of footwear In India, Japan and many other asian countries walking into the house with footwear is not acceptable. On the outside, it looks like it is a good practice…
